Plans for the Exchange Activities in the Fall of 2010
1. Goals and Objectives of the Exchange in the Fall
Between our two countries, one is the biggest developing country in the world and the other is the most developed country with the strongest strength of economy, science and technology in the world. The friendly relationship between China and America benefits both sides and creates a win-win situation. It also has a positive effect on the world’s peaceful and sustainable development.
On the basis of the successful teacher exchange in the fall of 2009 between Medfield High School and Bengbu No.6 Middle School, the student and teacher exchange program will be continued as planned. The goals of this exchange plan are to strengthen further mutual understanding and friendship, learn from each other and promote Confucian culture’s influence in the world through communication. Meanwhile, there will be an opportunity for our exchange teachers and students to experience different culture and improve their ability and confidence in language learning.
2. Schedule:
Visit Medfield Public Schools, Massachusetts for about three weeks (September- October)
3. The Proposed Scheme Exchange Activities in Medfield:
During the three weeks in America, we plan to organize “China Day” once or twice a week to introduce Chinese traditional culture.

蚌埠六中赴美交流活动方案
一、指导思想：
中美两国，一个是世界上最大的发展中国家；一个是拥有世界上最强大经济、科技实力的世界上最大的发达国家。中美两国关系的良好发展，不但对两国有益，达到双赢；而且对世界的和平发展、持续发展也有重要的积极作用。
这次交流是在中美两校于2009年9—11月份成功实现教师互派访问的基础上，按计划启动双方学生的交流。这次活动，旨在通过中美两国师生的交流，扩大了解，增进友谊，相互学习，促进中国儒家文化在世界的影响。同时，让中国的师生体会异域文化，提高学生用英语交流的能力和信心。
二、交流的时间和地点：
2010年9—10月间，利用三周的时间，到美国马萨诸塞州麦德菲尔德市托马斯·A·布莱克中学进行交流。
三、中方初步拟定的交流活动安排：
在美国的三周时间里，计划每周安排1—2次的“中国日”活动，介绍中国传统文化。
十位学生，一到两人准备一个主题。教师每人准备一个主题。
第一周：中国历史朝代介绍；蚌埠概况。
第二周：中国儒家文化介绍；春节、元宵节。
第三周：中国乐器与音乐；剪纸。
四、到美国的活动初步设想：
第一周：进入美国课堂学习；参加美国的班级活动和学校社团活动，中方学生的才艺展示。
第二周：进入美国课堂学习；参加美国的社区活动。
第三周：进入美国课堂学习；参观活动。
