Bengbu No.6 Middle School Educational Exchange Program Plan for 2010
The goals of the exchange plan are to strengthen international exchange and cooperation, continuously expand the substance of education, broaden the students’ international outlook, further enhance the educational level and create a good English language learning environment. The first step in the partnership was the initial exchange of administrators and teachers in 2009. The next steps in fulfilling the Agreement on friendship and cooperation of Bengbu No.6 Middle School and Medfield Public Schools in Massachusetts, USA include: continue to provide information about the partnership on each other’s websites, share management experience and campus culture, learn each other's culture and language, expand the participation of students through use of technology, and have American teachers and students gain further understanding of China.
The following steps will be taken to strengthen management and coordinate efforts of the partnership:
Step 1:
1) Organize the teacher professional development summer workshop : responsible person: Yu Ning The members: Li Hong, Fang Jun
2) Establish the selection criteria for selection of the exchange students
Step 2
1) Continue to organize video conferencing for Grades 7 and 8 students utilizing Skype technology and have Grade 8 students write e-mails to their pen pals.
2) Select the students for the student exchange and provide the students with orientation and training for the exchange experience.
3) Organize for the fall of 2010, the exchange experience for the Chinese students to travel to Medfield. The students will learn about American culture, language and experience American family life. Students will have the opportunity to improve their oral English skills, learn American customs and etiquette.
4) Prepare to host the exchange students from Medfield in the spring of 2011.
Step 3:
1) In order to stimulate students’ interest in learning English we will expand the participation of the students in a wide variety of activities and create a supportive environment for English Language learning.
2) Create the school theme of "Lead to the United States" and develop an activity every month to enable students to participate enthusiastically.

Step 4:
1) Establish information about the exchange program on No. 6
Middle School web site in both English and Chinese.
2) Announce and organize information on the web site about the specific content and activities of the partnership.
3) Set up school web site links on both the Bengbu #6 Middle School and the Medfield Public Schools.
